'Tempo Housing' is a company in The Netherland, designing, developing and building temporary housing units for students. The units are made from sea containers and stacxked on each other. In Amsterdam, ther are several locations where such units have been built. At the Wenckebachweg are 1000 units built. The students pay 425 Euro per month but receive 125 Euro subsidies from the government. Net rent is therefore 300 Euro /month. The units have been built in 2007 and the construction is lincensed till 2011. Depending on the cityplans, the units might be transfered to another location. Students like these appartments as they can life independently, have their own shower and toillet and enjoy the quiteness.
